A Good Trip to the Job Fair

Yesterday, our class went to the job fair. This was the first time I went there. I was surprised that there were so many people there. I thought that maybe a lot of people have lost their jobs now, so they need find another job.

This was a good trip for me. Maybe I could find a job. So I walked around and asked questions. But I was surprised that there were not many jobs in Toronto, just many agency and
training program. I saw a financial services company, I asked them "what kind of job do you offer?" the receptionist told me they don't offer any job. they just help people solve financial problems.

A Saturday in the Library

Last Saturday, I went to Faiview Public Library with my son. This was the first time I went there. This Library is very large. So I asked the librarian where I could find books for children and if they had some programs for kids. The librarian was very kind, she showed me where I could find the book I needed and told me some information.

In the Library, I met a Chinese lady who was reading the book with her son. I asked her how long she had been in Canada and if she and her son liked Canada. She told me she and her son had been in Canada for just 1 year. She did not find job in Canada so she was bored, but her son liked Canada and Canadian school. She asked me how many children I had and how old was my son. I told her some information about my son and myself. We had good time together.
