My March Break

For some of my classmates, Maybe March Break was a good opportunity to get rest. But for me, It was very busy because my son is still young, I need work with him.

Firstly, during March Break, at home I directed my son,Tian to write Chinese words for a competition. I showed him how to write a beautiful Chinese words again and again so that he could do it. Also, I taught him Chinese and took care of him and did housework. This was hard work.

Secondly, during March Break, some libraries and community centres have special programs for children. I took him to attend these programs because he liked them. Sometimes we ate lunch in the library.

Last, I had to take him shopping. Sometimes while I was looking for items, he would ran around. It took a long time for us to finish our shopping. That was also hard work.

So I don't like March Break. I hope him goes to school every day so that I can get some rest.

Good-bye Francisco

Dear Francisco,

Today, our teacher told us you would like to become an automotive mechanic. I think it is good for you. I believe you will have a good life. We all miss you, a good classmate. You are so nice and friendly. I was very happy to talk with you. I would not forget your speech. Your humor always makes us laugh, I can learn a lot of things from your speech. Thank you!

My email is jzzhangty@sohu.com, keep in touch. I wish you all the best in your life.

Good Luck!

Coming to Canada

When I first came to Canada I was very excited, because everything was new for me. Blue sky, fresh air and so many trees around the city. But when I settled down, I found living in Canada very difficult.

Firstly, when I spoke English, nobody could understand me, also I could not understand other people. I felt upset. So I only went to a Chinese supermarket to buy foods. But my home is not very close to the Chinese supermarket. Nothing was convenient. In China, When I went shopping I just need to walk for about 10 minutes, I coud buy everything.

Secondly, seeing a doctor was very difficult. Because my English was not good, so I had to find the family doctor who can speak Mandarin. In Canada, every time when you want to see your family doctor, you have to make an appointment, and when you go to the doctor's office, there are a lot of patients there, you have to wait. If you want to see a specialist, it is even more difficult. Even though when you call 911 in emergency, the ambulance comes very quickly, but when you get to the hospital you have to wait for a long time. I was told that some people died in the emergency room. I think this is terrible.

Thirdly, I am very scared of making a call in English, usually, on the telephone the people speak very fast, I cannot understand what they are saying, and the people cannot understand me.

So, I have decided that I must improve my English, I come to LINC class everday, but my English does not improve quickly. Maybe I need more time to practice and study very hard. I hope my English will be better soon.
